Christmas time is HERE!

Time flies!!! I'm finished with school for the year. Passed with 3 A's and 3 B's. One more semester and I'll graduate! I cannot wait! David is working on his last test for the year as we speak. He'll start back again January 4. He is also off work all this week! His work is giving each other them a week off for Christmas! How nice! I know he'll enjoy it and he deserves it! Thursday we are going to my grandparent's house to celebrate Christmas and then Friday, David and I will spend Christmas morning together and then go to my parents house to see what Landon and Maddox got and to exchange presents with them. Friday night David's parents are coming and then Saturday we're all driving down to Mobile to celebrate with David's side of the family! I love this time of year! I can't wait to go look at Christmas lights this week! :) Other than that, nothing much is going on! Just enjoying Christmas break and working! :) If I don't see you before then have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year! :)

School's going pretty good. Only a few more weeks until we're out for Christmas break. Things have sped up here at the end of the year. It's crazy! School has pretty much been my life so I don't have much of anything to update on. David's 23rd birthday was Friday. We went to outback to eat and then I had a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for him! YUMMY!! This coming weekend we will be going to the Marine Corps ball and then the weekend after that, David's parents are coming to town and taking us to a Southern Miss football game for David's birthday present! I stay busy!! But it's all good most of the time!

Ready for Christmas!!!

I CANNOT wait to put up my Christmas tree and decorate and all! I love it! The Christmas spirit has come early for me this year. I have finished shopping for David's Christmas presents and am working on his stocking. And for the most part I already know what I'm getting everyone else. I'm on top of it this year. School is moving right along. Midterm grades were posted last week and I had all A's!! So excited! Not much longer until we're out for Christmas break and then I'll be in my 4th and final semester and will graduate in MAY!! I'm more than ready! I would much rather be working everyday than going to school. I've never NOT gone to school. It will be nice to come home and not have homework or have to think about what I have to get done. David will be starting school the 26th of this month. Hopefully that will fly by for him also. Maybe that B.S. is just around the corner. Anyways...that's about it for now. I haven't had too much time for anything else. Hope all is well with everyone!

Back to school...

Tomorrow will be the first day of my senior year of college! WOOHOO! I'll be graduating in May! I'm VERY excited and a little bit excited about starting school again tomorrow. I'm ready to be done and ready to get into the coding part of it. Hopefully I'll enjoy it. We actually get to go to hospitals and other clinics and such on Thursdays. I think I'll really enjoy that. It will give me a feel of what kind of place I would like to work at. Also, this semester, I will only be working on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. I'm also happy about that. It will leave me some more time to study. I don't get out until around 4 on Tuesday and Thursdays anyways and the clinic closes at 5 so I wouldn't have much time to do anything anyways and there is another lady that is needing to sit at my desk on Tues. and Thurs. anyways. So it works out PERFECT! I have been working my butt off this weekend. I love getting things accomplished! We had a garage sale this weekend. Well mostly my sister did but I put a FEW things in and made $21.75! Haha! She made at least $114. Then yesterday my dad taught me how to change the oil in my car...something I've wanted to know for a while. So we did that and then today we went to church, ate lunch at my parents and my dad and I rotated the tires on my car, came home and aired up my tires, packed up my book bag for school tomorrow, took the caulk out of the shower so David could redo it, cleaned the kitchen, & swept. It has been a long day. I keep feeling like today is the last day that I have to get any of this done...(I did this before my surgery too). I guess I feel like I won't have time to do ANYTHING when school starts. BLAH! Oh well..anyways this is long enough! Gotta go get some more stuff done.

Feeling alright.

Surgery went well. Still SORE but I expected that. I'm getting around pretty well though. Trying to recover quickly. I didn't get ANY sleep last night! Luckily I stayed at my grandparents today and lounged around and took a few VERY small naps and one nap for about an hour and a half. A much needed nap! Grandma made me a wonderful lunch! Homemade mashed potatoes, english peas and biscuits. YUM! Grandma's always the best! I'll be over there again tomorrow and then David's mom will stay with my Thursday and Friday. My mom came over last night and cooked us Chicken caesar salad and it was delicious! She's coming again tonight and making breakfast for us! I have the best family! Mom got my path report back today and it said that I had chronic cholecystitis....which means that my gallbladder has been giving me problems for a while...which would explain all the adhesions and inflammation when they went in there. Also had some cholesterol in there. So I'm very glad that we took a chance and decided to remove the gallbladder because that was definately the problem. It's a huge relief! Well I just wanted to give a quick update! Now I'm fixing to try to go attempt a shower. Got to keep my wounds clean from infection! 

Surgery

So tomorrow morning at 7:30 my gallbladder surgery will begin. It's starting to hit me tonight and I'm getting pretty nervous. I've been fine and playing it all tough up until now and now it's getting me. Not sure exactly what I'm nervous about but I just am. I know I'll be in good hands. I couldn't even eat my supper tonight! I'm just ready to get it over with!! Oh well! I know everything will be just fine. God is my protector. Say a prayer for me!

So my grades were posted today and even though I stayed up until 2 A.M. last night, I managed to wake up at around 7:30 this morning and the first thing I did was check for my grades...and fortunately they were on there! 

HIT Seminar = A

A&P II w/lab = B

Pharmacology = B

Healthcare Law and Ethics = B

Pathophysiology = C

Computers in Healthcare = C

I am VERY HAPPY! So glad I passed. I felt that I would but it just makes me nervous not knowing for sure. So now on to 3rd semester. But not until I've had a nice long relaxing summer. I need the break from the studying!

SCHOOL'S OUT!!!

WOOHOO!!!

SCHOOL IS FINALLY OUT FOR SUMMER!

So, I took my last final today and I'm not waiting for them to post my grades. :/ I'm SO nervous! I'm not sure if I should be nervous or not. They just need to hurry! David is out of town for 2 weeks for AT so I've just been studying and hanging out. My Aunt Yvonne and cousin Lacie are here visiting from Wisconsin so that's been fun to visit with them. Tonight I'm going out to eat with a new friend named Marissa! I'm excited! She works for the Sheriff's dept as a deputy so I told David I was going to ask her to come spend the night with me for 2 weeks while he was gone to protect me since we've been having all of these robberies out this way! Haha! I'm fine though...the gun is loaded and ready for me if it comes to that and I've been taught what to do by my loving husband. :) So next week I plan to just work everyday and hopefully start working out some now that school's over. I'm going to be driving to Mobile on Thursday of next week to meet David. I'll spend the night then that night and then we're going to Gulf Shores for the weekend and we'll be back Monday! I'm so excited! I just happened to think about us going. It's pretty much the only time we have to be able to go on a vacation! I booked us a condo on the beach for $99 a night so I was VERY excited about that. Now we'll just have to see how nice it really is. I don't care as long as I can relax on the beach. I'm going to pack a cooler and take a bunch of food down there. It has a full kitchen and pools and jacuzzis and everything so we'll be able to make cook our own food and not spend so much. It will be nice to just get away for a while.

Baby Bird

The saddest thing happened this morning. I looked out our front door onto our porch and one of the baby birds from the nest that's on our porch was laying there rolled into a crack. :( I was kinda weary of picking it up since I know birds carry diseases, so I used a paper towel and was going to try to put it back in it's nest. The little birds eyes were not even open yet and it was letting out this very quiet little "tweet". So sad! Well I had to climb on the rail of our porch to try to get him in there because it was too tall. I tried to put him in there but he fell (yet again) and hit the rail on his way down and fell into our flower garden. :( I thought he might have been dead but fortunately he was not. Crying, I went in the house and got a bowl (breaking another bowl as I got the one for the bird) and put some grass in the bottom of it. After that I went and picked up the bird again and put him in the bowl on the porch underneath the nest so that his momma could find him. I felt so bad for him. Well David came home for lunch and told me that bird had died. I somewhat felt like it was my fault. I was just trying to help the poor little guy. He probably broke things on the fall. :( So my day started out sad. Otherwise it's been pretty good. Here's a picture of the poor birdy this morning.

Anyways that's it. We're fixing to leave to go eat at McAlister's with our sunday school class. Our youth group is having a fund raiser so they get 10% of the profits from 6-9 tonight and all the tips! So we're going to support them!

Spring time is here!!

I LOVE the weather outside! Spring is probably my favorite season...with fall being a close second. I pretty much love every season though. They all have their good qualities. :) So not much has been going on lately. School is coming to an end. I think like 3 weeks left. Last day is May 13. THANK GOODNESS!! I think I need a celebration when summer starts! Haha! After that only 1 more year to go and then I'll be school free FOREVER. I'd much rather work. Haha! David is out of town at drill this weekend. I'm hoping they'll let him go for 4 days next month and drill out for the rest of the year so he won't have to go back again until October. That would be great! I'm also hoping he'll be getting promoted here anytime now. Well, I finally got my car back and it looks GREAT. There's a few minor things. 2 that we're not worried about and 1 that just annoys the mess out of me. We took it back for them to fix it, I promise you, FIVE times and they NEVER do. The cover on the steering wheel where the air bag came out is loose and it rattles going over bumps. SO ANNOYING!! Maybe I'll find someone who can fix it someday. Otherwise I've just been going to school, work, church, and then studying and playing with Landon :) Maddox is still too little to "play" with. He's still having some issues. He's had some gastric problems and they've been trying to take care of that. He's cried most of his 2 and 1/2 months of life. Now we're thinking he might have colic. Who knows! My flowers are starting to bloom now and they're so pretty! David and I started getting our flower bed ready the other day and put some top soil down. We haven't gotten any flowers for it yet though. My plans for this summer are to go to work, try to tan some and then workout everyday. I have got to lose some weight! I've felt like with school and work I've been too bogged down to have time for much of anything like that. I want to be ready and look good for Katie's wedding in October. I need a tan since it will be on the beach. :) I'm excited! Well anyways I'm going to leave you with some pictures. :) HAPPY SPRING!
