1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!

The Beautiful white roses my hubby got me :)

Being silly in the car outside of Olive Garden

Well yesterday I started work and it was also our 1 year anniversary! Work was great and I came home early (I finished everything I could do and they sent me home :( ) Then when I got home, David had come home at lunch time and left me the white roses and a card :) What a sweetheart! Then he finally got home and we both got ready and we left to go eat at Olive Garden...for the first time since they opened one here. We splurged and even got an appetizer. :) We of course had a ton of leftovers...which I love so we can eat it tonight. YUM! Anyways....I got David a new Marine Corps Bible which he was excited about and he got me the fuzziest robe ever...(I had asked for it!) I LOVE IT! I couldn't have been happier! This has been a wonderful year filled with MANY ups and downs. I can't imagine having anyone else by my side. We're a great team. :)

YAY!!

More good news to share. I got a job on Wednesday! I will be putting charts together at my mom's work making $9/hour. WOW! I expected like minimum wage. I start Monday and after school starts I will work around my school schedule. I'll feel better being able to bring in some money for us. :) Makes me feel useful even though I keep the house clean and clothes washed so David pretty much does nothing! Haha! And I know that going to school will be well worth it in the end. Also, school is out for the year! Me and David both passed our classes! I made 2 A's, 3 B's, and 1 C. I am very excited!!! I don't have to go back until January 12. David has decided to take a break from school right now which I am very thankful for. He is doing it because with several different things that might be going on this year (deployment and such) it will interfere with his school and he'll have to drop out anyways. But I'm thankful that he's not going anyways because it kinda stresses me out because I'm constantly having to keep up with all his stuff and when it's due and mine at the same time. And David honestly never wants to do any of the work so I'd rather him wait until I'm done with school and then go back when I'm not worried about my own school! I kept my nephew ALL DAY yesterday. :'( I'm completely worn out. My arm hurts from carrying him...I must have no muscle left..how sad. But he's so wild and crazy!!! And it didn't help that we had to go to town in all the crazy traffic!! I definately do not do well in crowds. I told David not to let me go back out on a Friday before christmas. UGH! Then I went shopping with my sister and him at the mall and I was holding him while Stacey was looking for a shirt and he didn't want to stay in my arms so i put him down and he'd RUN. So I'd try to hold his hand and he'd just throw himself on the ground and pitch a fit. It was a mess. We would've had the stroller but Stacey didn't realize that it wasn't in her car. Needless to say I'm pooped and it will definately be several years before I have kids. It already was going to be but definately now. I'm so not ready. HAH! David is gone to drill now and doing the whole toys for tots thing and we have a Sunday school Christmas party tonight. :( I wish he was here to go but oh well. That's how it goes when you're married to the military. :)

HOORAY!!

I CANNOT express to you how much I LOVE wearing contacts!!! Oh my goodness! It's such a world of a difference how much better I see with contacts and much better I feel. I NEVER want to be stuck in glasses again. On another note, we had a great weekend. Friday I drove my Mazda out around town hoping to get some publicity so we can sell it! David got 5 phone calls about it while he was at work and then one more phone call that night when he got home. The last phone call the lady wanted to meet us on Saturday to look at it. So Saturday morning David had to work and then after that we got ready and went to town to meet the lady. Of course she never showed (probably about the 3rd time this has happened to us). We even tried calling her but we never heard anything else from her. UGH! It's frustrating. Oh well. After we waited on her for a little while I got a new coat (one that is nice enough to wear to church since I've been just wearing my NorthFace jacket). I have been looking at the peacoats and they are just SO expensive!! So I had been reading the sales papers on Friday night and happened to see that JC Penney was having a sale and had one for $60 and it was regularly $200. WOW! What a find! I ended up going to buy it on Saturday and I got an extra $10 off. So i only paid $53 including tax. I was very happy! Anyways so after that we headed to meet with some people from our Sunday school class so we could head to Newton to go eat at a restaurant called Zack Garvin's. We headed to Newton and all of a sudden our tire goes flat on the side of the interstate. Ugh! Luckily there were people from our sunday school class behind us and they pulled over and helped us and all. It never looks good when you're trying to sell a car and the tire goes flat. Haha! Anyways so now we have the spare tire on there. Yesterday we had nursery duty at church. I was very excited because we had Landon in our class (we only had 3 total in our room). He was so cute and when I would leave the room, he cried for me!! It's a good feeling. :) Well that pretty much sums up our weekend. Now I have to go study for a stinkin test. Only a few weeks left of school! Thank goodness! I'm counting down the time I have left.

Landon

These are just too cute! Today my family went to eat at La Familia for lunch. Stacey and Matt had to run somewhere after church and they were going to meet us there. So since me and David have my mom's car seat in my car we took Landon with us to the restaurant. On the way we saw a police car and so I taught Landon to say "po-po". HAHA! So he said that and then David opened up the sunroof and I told Landon to say wow and he said that too! It was SO cute and I was very excited that I was able to teach him something....even if it was stupid. haha!
Here are some pictures I took of him at lunch.

Landon CHEESING! HAHA! He squints when he smiles. So cute!

Landon smiling!

Southern Miss Homecoming Game

Last night we went to Southern Miss's homecoming game against UAB. It was my first college game to ever go to so I was very excited! And also since it was my first game, I took a lot of pictures! I'm sure the people around us thought I was crazy taking so many pictures! This was part of David's birthday present this year. I told him he could also pick out a Southern shirt and hat since his shirt doesn't fit anymore and his hat is broken. I would've picked it out but I'm sure it wouldn't have been the right one. :) We left here around 4:30 and got home around 11:30. We ended up leaving at the beginning of the 4th quarter. There was no point in staying. Here are some pictures from the game!

Me and David before the game

The big eagle head on the scoreboard

Seymore!

I tried my hardest to get this picture. They did this after every touchdown Southern made.

This is just a random picture kinda.

This is the score during the FIRST quarter! 21-0

I was trying to get the big eagle head in the middle of the field.

This is the scoreboard right as we were leaving and also the FINAL score. 70-14.

Halloween party

This weekend was the Halloween costume party! I don't really have a picture of me and David completely in our costumes but as soon as I get one from Katie I will put it on here. But for now this is all I have from Halloween.

My first homeade cupcakes :)
Brett Favre and the cat
David being cute.
I'm not sure when everyone left but we acted like old people and came home at 11:30. We were tired! Hah! We can't stay up like we used to!

29 October 2008

WOOHOO!!!

I'm SO excited!! I finally got my new glasses today! YAY!! They're very cute. It's taking me a little while to adjust to them just because the strength is stronger than the ones I've been wearing. Friday night me and David are going to a Halloween costume party at my cousin's house. We didn't wanna really spend much money on costumes this year and David didn't want to dress up anyways so we're using things we already have. David is going as Brett Favre and just wearing a jersey he has and I'm going to wear black pants and a black shirt and black shoes and go as a cat. I'm still looking for some cat ears and a tail!! You would think Walmart would have this! They only had bunny ears. I'm gonna stop by Walgreens tonight and see if they may have some! Also I'm making Halloween cupcakes for the party! I'm excited! Then Saturday we're going to the Southern Miss homecoming game for David's birthday! It's going to be freezing! The game isn't until 7pm. This will be the first college football game I've ever been to. I applied for a job at a local hospital on Monday night. It's a PRN position and it's for a data entry clerk. My teacher called me Friday to tell me about it and she said she recommended me to them. Who knows. If I get it then that's great but if not then it will be ok too. I just found out that my last day of school for this semester is Dec. 10! AH! It's not too far away. I counted and since I only go to school 3 days a week then I only have around 20 more class days left! I can't wait! Anyways, I'll try to post some pictures from this weekends festivites if I can.
Megan

So cute!

Glasses :(

I went to the pharmacy the other day to get my eye drops and the total was just a tiny bit under $200!!!! The bottles aren't even that big!! It's ridiculous! Oh well I just had to tell myself that it didn't matter as long as I stay healthy and keep my eyes to where I can still see out of them (since I'm already almost blind as a bat). Anyways, my new glasses cannot get here soon enough!! These old ones are definitely not the right strength. It's making my eyes extremely tired having to strain and I can't see very well. At least it's good enough. Also for the first day I had to put those eye drops in EVERY hour for 12 hours and then every 2 hours for the next 24 hours. Luckily now I'm down to just 6 times a day. Otherwise everything is going great around here. David made it back safely from drill. Our garage sale went great! My sister made about $170 (She had A LOT of stuff...and big stuff too) and me and my mom came out with about $30. Haha! I haven't been married long enough to accumulate much junk. We took the rest of the stuff to the salvation army. School is going great..not much going on really. Test on Wednesday and that's about it. Friday night and Saturday morning we're having a women's retreat with church. My mom and sister are doing the music so they recruited me to do the powerpoint. I was blessed being the computer person of the family. Anyways that's about it. I will leave you with a picture :)

Baby Peanut when we first got him :)

Eye Doctor

Well I went to the my new eye doctor this morning and he told me I needed to wear my glasses for the next 3 weeks and I have to go get 2 different types of eye drops. Apparently the type contacts I had been wearing for years probably now were not good for my eyes. He told me I have allergies in my eyes and some other things that I don't really know and that I am very close (if I don't get this taken care of) to not ever being able to wear contacts ever again!! I would be stuck with just glasses for the rest of my life! I can't bear to think about that. That would be TERRIBLE! So anyways, I picked out some new glasses and I can't wait to get them in! They're cute and the glasses I have now haven't been updated in quite some time so I can't see as well out of them. They're good enough for a little bit but I really need my new ones. Then I go back in 3 weeks and get refitted for contacts and then I'll get them. Oh well. I'm just glad I'm getting it taken care of. David left a little bit ago for Mobile for drill. He has to be there at 5 today. I honestly don't mind when he leaves for JUST THE WEEKEND. I don't like the 2 weeks thing. But yeah I like getting the bed to myself and not having to pick up after him. :) Tomorrow morning my mom, my sister and me are having a garage sale. Hopefully it will be successful. Anyways I guess that's all the update I have for now. I gotta go back to town and get my prescriptions and a b-day card for my grandma....also gotta get some wrapping paper so I can wrap David's birthday gift!! :) I'm trying to get done early with Christmas presents also. Already gotten some done. Ok well that's all!

This is a picture from our date night we had last weekend :)

Boys, Boys, Boys

My sister went today for her ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby and it's another boy! I was really hoping for a girl just so there would be one of each but of course another boy is just fine! :) Maybe I'll just have to have a girl for the family...ONE DAY. No time soon. I at least have to make it through school. Also more exciting news! My cousin Katie got engaged this past weekend! They will be getting married Oct. 3, 2009 on the beach! I have been asked to be the matron of honor! YAY! I'm very excited! Now I just have to be even more motivated to keep running. Yesterday I ran a little over a mile in 13 minutes. Today my legs were so sore I barely made it 3/4 of a mile. BLAH!! I just really need to lose some weight. :( Marriage is bad for you. haha! Anyways that's mainly all that's going on. School is fine...just school. I'm ready for Christmas break. Also I love all the Christmas-y stuff. It's pretty. YAY! Ok well I'm gonna go to sleep.

School News

Things are school are going great! Monday I was asked to be secretary of our program called HITA (Health Information Technology Association). The president is a sophomore and the secretary is a freshman in the program! I'm so excited and surprised that they picked me! I took a test last week (my first one) and I asked the teacher about seeing my grade today and even though I forgot to stop by after class to see my grade, she told me that I did very well! Today we had our 2nd test and I think I did pretty good on it! I'll find out for sure tomorrow. I have to at least make an 80 to pass it. Ugh. The grading scale is much higher than normal. An 80 is the lowest C you can make. I have another medical terminology test tomorrow. Hopefully I'll do well on it also. I wasn't feeling very hopeful about school but this week has brought a new beginning for me! I'm motivated now.

On another note, my sister went to the doctor for a checkup and such and she will be going in 5 weeks to find out the sex of the baby! Yay!! I will be keeping Landon half the day Friday! He's adorable. I'm excited! Thurday I'm going to clean the house and get things ready for Friday. Friday David's parents close on their house and then I believe they're coming over to eat with us and then spending the night. I have to clear out some junk in the extra bedroom! It would be finished by now but we've gotten delayed on finishing up our storage building. We'll eventually finish. Anyways, that's all I have for now. :)

Me in the Blue Angels plane at the Naval Aviation Museum.

The beach has been wonderful!! We drove down to Destin, FL on Saturday. We have been very lucky! We haven't had ANY bad weather AT ALL! It has rained 1 day. Sunday we ate at Joe's Crab Shack and then we played goofy golf. Monday, me and David went to one of the outlet malls and walked around and ate at a japanese/thai restaurant and then we went to the movie theater and saw House Bunny. I LOVE their theater! It has stadium seating and the seats are sooo comfy! They recline! On Tuesday we just shopped around a little. We went to the Bass Pro Shop and then we all went to eat at Longhorns Steak House. This morning we went to Starbucks and now we're just lounging around. It's great!! I think we're gonna go back to the Bass Pro Shop today. David didn't get to see everything. :) But anyways, here are some pictures so far from our vacation. (By the way, I dunno how to make the pictures go under my post instead of on top. :( ) Also, the pictures are in a very random order. Haha!

Pictures of Max :)

Here are a few pictures of Max. I'm trying to fix up a lot of stuff here on vacation since I actually have fast internet. I'm so jealous!

14 August 2008

Max

Max the Maxima :) I finally got my car!!! I love it SOOO much! It is a 2007 Nissan Maxima SL. It has a sunroof, leather seats, 6 CD changer, Navigation, a spoiler, bluetooth, seat warmers and steering wheel warmer, and much more!! It's a dark gray. It rides so smooth too! Anyways..I start school on Monday! I'm excited but not about having to be there at 8 3 days out of the week. I only have classes Mon, Tues, and Wed. Next thing on my list...after vacation...is to get a part time job! I'm kind of excited about getting out of the house. Me and David are going to try to go jogging today. I'm excited! I really need to exercise and lose some weight. This is terrible. I'm hoping that going back to school will at least get me up and a little more active. It's just hard when I have nothing else to do to get up and out of the house. Gas is just so expensive. Fortunately it is coming down though. Anyways I guess I'm going to go get dressed and ready and go visit my grandparents or clean or something.

24 July 2008

The home life

I haven't written in a while but I decided maybe I should update. My last day at work was July 11th!! YAY!! I am VERY happy about that. I couldn't stand my job really. I liked it to begin with but then it got very old and things were just really stupid about it. David finally got a job and has been there for a little bit over a month! I love his job! he works 7-5 Monday through Friday and then 8-12 every other saturday. He is the BUG MAN!!! :) Things are very very good right now. I'm just keeping busy with things around the house and I've been babysitting Landon this week. I love my little boy. :) I can only hope that my child won't be as hyper active!! He never sits down and even though I stay in the air conditioning, this HOT Mississippi weather is killing me!!! We also found out that Stacey is pregnant again! I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl. I'm hoping for a girl but I'll love either. We are currently trying to sell my car and get me a new one! I think I have found the one I want and I'm hoping that we can go test drive it on Saturday. It is a black Nissan Maxima SL. I love it so much!! It's beautiful! So excited!!! Also, I'm ready for our vacation in August. We're going to the beach the last week in August. WOO!!! We're also fixing to get satellite internet since we live so far out in the country that we can't get high speed internet. Anyways that's about all the update I have. :)

29 May 2008

Update

Things are going pretty good in the Creel house right now. We had to buy a new refrigerator on Monday because our other one just died on us. That wasn't very fun but this fridge does have a little bit more room which is always good. David has applied for a few more jobs and we're just waiting to hear something from ANY of them! I'm very impatient when it comes to this. I'm so sleepy and work is very boring! Our workout class is pretty much over. She lost her babysitter and her husband is in the military so they're going to be moving around the end of july or august anyways. i'm so ready to go do something or go somewhere or something!! i'm so bored just sitting here in meridian doing the same thing every single day! well pretty much that's about all that's going on.

14 May 2008

david's quest for a job continues

We're waiting to hear back from MDOT and the sheriff's department. I'm praying something will come of at least one of those. David would finally be happy with his job if it was in law enforcement. I'd rather him not have to get another "beat around the bush" job. In my opinion though, David is being a little too picky. I understand that he wants to work in law enforcement, but also HE NEEDS A JOB! He may NEVER get a job in law enforcement. He can't just wait around for that. I don't think he realizes how important and how desperate he should be to find a job. Not to mention, dealing with him for ANYTHING is like pulling teeth. I'm just in a stressed state now..and why shouldn't i be? I'm getting ready to go back to school in the fall and he doesn't have a job. It kinda puts a damper on our plans. I know he'll find a job and I know he's trying and looking but I'm just a little stressed at the moment. Things will work out....:)

On another note, our church's search for a new music minister has come to an end. We voted Sunday and have hired a guy from Alabama. I think I'll like him...I'll just have to get used to him. :)

I went to my workout class last night and I can barely move today. Last night we did more strength training and wow i have muscles I didn't know existed!! I honestly think I pulled something but I don't know. I go back for another class tomorrow night and we weigh in. I'm hoping to have some good results this week. I've really been trying to eat better and me and David have been doing pushups every night and sometimes we'll do a few other workout things like situps. So we're trying to get in better shape. I'm trying to get David ready for his PFT so he can get promoted.

That's all the news I really have for now though. I'll keep you posted on the job search though!

About Us

Since this is the first time I am writing, I thought I would put a little about us on here.

That is a picture of us in Jamaica! I was going to put a picture of our little son, Peanut, but our internet is so slow that I am not patient enough to wait for it to upload.

So, about us. Let's see here. David and I were married December 15, 2007.  We are both full time students at MCC. David is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and I FINALLY decided on a degree in medical billing and coding. We were both taking classes online this past semester along with working full time jobs.  Although I will be going back to attend classes AT MCC this semester, I will still be babysitting!  It should be the best job ever! :) I think it's best for both of us though. Anyway, that's about all there is to our life. Not much to talk about really. I'm not sure how much I'll update this page (especially since our internet is so slow), but I'll try to at least put main events on here.
